Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and the publisher of Palinilap (named in the Legal notice below) for using the website palinil.app. By creating an account or buying a plan you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. The service

Palinilap is a tool for writing palindromes, with a writing studio, a word bank and a social feed where members post, react, follow each other and write together. Anyone can read public posts. Posting and the other member features need a paid plan.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. Keep access to that mailbox safe: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
• One person per account. Your handle must not impersonate another person or brand.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

3. Plans, prices and payment

• Slam in!: US$17.71 per month. Dom mod: US$27.72 per month. Pi VIP: US$413.14 once, for lifetime access. Prices include any VAT that applies.
• Payment is handled by Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel a monthly plan at any time in your account. Billing stops and access continues until the end of the month you already paid for. Months already started are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
• Panama Nap freezes your account: member features pause right away (you keep read access) and no further billing happens after the month you already paid. Resubscribe within 60 days to get everything back; after that the account is deleted.
• Pi VIP is a single payment. If you buy it while on a monthly plan, the monthly plan stops at the end of its paid month.
• If a payment fails, member features pause until a payment succeeds.
• We may change prices for the future. A price change never applies to a month you have already paid, and we tell subscribers at least 30 days before a new price applies to them, so they can cancel first.

4. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Palinilap gives you access immediately after payment, so before paying you ask us to start right away and confirm that you then lose the right of withdrawal once access has begun (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). Cancelling a monthly plan as described above is always possible.

5. Your content

• You keep the rights to everything you write. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, display and distribute it on Palinilap for as long as it is on the site, which is what the service needs in order to show it.
• Public posts can be read by anyone, and other members can react to them, quote them and repost them.
• When you delete your account, your public posts stay on the site without your name (see the Privacy Policy). You can delete individual posts yourself before that.
• You confirm you have the right to post what you post.

6. Rules

Do not post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not spam, automate accounts, try to break or overload the site, or get around limits or payments. Moderators and the publisher may hide or remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or close accounts that break them seriously or repeatedly. If we close a paid account for a serious breach, no refund is due for the current period.

To report content, use the report option on the post or write to contact@palinil.app. We act promptly on reports of clearly illegal content.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Palinilap running well but cannot promise it will never be interrupted or contain errors. Features may change over time. If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 60 days' notice and refund the unused part of any monthly period.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, or our liability for death, personal injury, fraud or gross negligence. Within those limits, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will tell members on the site or by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without taking away the protection that the law of your country of residence gives you as a consumer. If something goes wrong, write to us first at contact@palinil.app. EU consumers can also use a consumer mediator, and the courts of their place of residence remain competent.
